With reference to Your Lordship's

Despatch No. 6 of the 7th. of last January, I have the

honour to forward the enclosed copy of a letter from Mr.

A. B. Wright dated the 25th. of last February and of a

minute by the Director of Public Works dated the 26th.

instant, and to recommend that Mr. Wright be given a

bonus of £70 on account of the additional work thrown upon

him during the absence of Mr. T. L. Perkins who returned

to the Colony on the 19th. instant.
